Waiting for the Rain: This song was written to identify with periods of waiting, longing, and even doubt in the life of a believer. The “rain” in this song is a metaphor for God. I have found that God has used seasons of delay to grow my confidence in His sufficiency. Some of my sweetest intimacy with Christ and enjoyment of His character has come after such times. (Psalm 130:5)
